ZLATNI RAT, OR GOLDEN HORN BEACH

Zlatni rat or Golden horn is the most popular beach on the Adriatic coast. It is located in the city of Bol, on the south side of the island. The beach is made of white pebbles, and is often windy, which makes it a great spot for surfers and adventure seekers. Last year, the beach was named in the Best beaches in the world category“, according to the Big 7 travel news.

BLACA HERMITAGE MONASTERY

It is believed that two monks fled the Turks and used the Blaca cave to hide away from the Turks and later on, built the monastery.

THE PARISH CHURCH OF CHRIST IN SELCA

The remarkable parish church of Christ in Selca, on the east side of the island, is one of the most magnificent churches in this part of Croatia. The famous engineer Adolf Schlauf built this magnificent religious building, often referred to as the Brac cathedral. Inside the church, there is a bronze statue of the Heart of Jesus, which was designed and produced by the famous Croatian artist Ivan Meštrovic.

THE PUCISCA STONEMASON SCHOOL & STONE ART

Pucisca stone masonry school is the only professional school for stonemasonry in Croatia. The school was founded in 1909. Moreover, it has been teaching students manual stone crafting skills and techniques for decades now.
